Dungeon Trader



This project is a mobile game developed in Defold using Lua. Gameplay revolves around playing the role of a shopkeeper seeking to retire in the near future. The shopkeeper thus needs to make as much gold as possible in that time frame, despite a greedy landlord, thieves, revolting peasants, and bandits. He is visited every week by a merchant whose prices change, and who occasionally has a rare item that can be bought and later sold at a profit. For this project, I did all coding for file i/o, merchant generation, in-game event generation, and analytics. In addition, I performed a comprehensive refactoring of the code base in order to make in more modular and easier to both maintain and expand upon.
